Elastic Card

An expanding card footer that reveals actions on hover.

Social feed cards usually show all their actions all the time — like, comment, share, bookmark. That's a lot of visual noise when you're scrolling. I wanted the actions to hide until you hover, but not with a fade — with a stretch. The footer physically pulls up like a rubber band, revealing the action buttons underneath. Leave and it snaps back. The spring overshoot on the height change is what makes it feel elastic rather than mechanical. It's progressive disclosure with a physical metaphor.
