Feedback Card

A feedback form that expands from a pill button with a layout animation.

Feedback buttons on SaaS dashboards are either always-open forms that waste space or modals that break your flow. I wanted something in between — a pill button that expands into the form right where it sits. Click 'Feedback' and the pill grows into a card with a textarea and submit button fading in. Submit and it shrinks back to a thank-you state. The layout animation means you see the button become the form — same element, same position, just larger. It never interrupts what you were doing.
